Here at Hope United Methodist church we offer Godly Play for children in Preschool through 2nd Grade during our 11:00 service on Sundays. We have already seen God move in new ways through this program, and it has changed the way we teach our other Sunday School classes, teach the stories at our Child Care chapel services, and the way we (the adult volunteers) engage God’s Story. We encourage everyone in our congregation and community to get involved in this ancient way of passing on our faith to the next generation!
What is Godly Play?*
The Godly Play curriculum engages what is most exciting about religious education: God inviting us into—and pursuing us in the midst of—Scripture and spiritual experience. Godly Play practice teaches us to listen for God and to make authentic and creative responses to God’s call in our lives.
